Discectomy
Discectomy literally means “cutting out the disc.” A discectomy can be performed anywhere along the spine from the neck (cervical) to the low back (lumbar) and it involves removing your damaged disk to relieve pressure on your nerves. Discectomy is considered only after non-surgical treatments have failed.
